a deep breath in the Ahmedabad airport

The last three weeks have been completely jam-packed. I have about 10,000 blog posts to write to you all. Four groups of visitors from the States, a new Italian flat-mate named Patricio, a serious run-in with The Man, a most excellent adventure in the Kashmiri himalayas -- both on and off the slopes, and now a three hour wait in the strange, deserted Ahmedabad airport on my way home to Dilli after three days of on-the-ground research in this curious city.

A major, knock-your-bloggingsocks-off post is coming about Kashmir soon. For now, a list:

5 best things about Ahmedabad, Gujarat:
1) Sitting in an important business meeting in a suit, my game face, and... my socks -- no shoes allowed in the building.
2) Bright pink tractors, with brighter yellow likenesses of dancing ladies and cows.
3) Big billboards for internet service providers mounted onto carts that are pulled around the city by camels.
4) The looks on laborer's faces when I get out of a car at a new construction site -- utter shock and awe.
4.5) The reaction of my coworker when i say "hello" to one of the laborers -- "don't click pictures of the women, you will be thrashed." hmmmm...
5) Last but not least: Dushyant! The pioneering founder of the Gujarat Chapter of TheDilli Fanclub. See the next post for details!

What nonsense you have written :

Ahmedabad airport is the 7 th busiest airport in India having 150 - 170 flights per day.

International carriers like Emirates , Singapore Airlines , Qatar airways , Air Arabia , Kuwait airways , Air India , Indian Airlines , Turkmenistan air , Finnair operate from here.

I wonder how you can call this airport deserted...were you day dreaming or what ??

Secondly , Ahmedabad is the commercial capital of Gujarat which is the most developed state in India so I think what you have written is just out of jealousy...

Have a look at Delhi...most of the ppl there are cheats and hypocrats , rapists roaming around everywhere and also the way ppl there talk is like a big village...!!

You cant trust any one there man...they are out there to fleece you and yeah...all of them are showoffs...everyone thinks they are ambanis.

The whole culture there is superficial...hardly any industrialization there...!!!

Corruption and cheaters...you can never trust a Delhi person...sweet talkers they all are and back stabbers as well
